Patch Loaded Slot Antenna for Super Wideband Applications with Dual-Band Notch Characteristic

This paper presents a patch loaded slot antenna for super wideband (SWB) application. To obtain SWB characteristic, the proposed geometry combined rectangular and an overlying excited by trident shaped microstrip feed. It is observed that hybrid nature of effectively enhances impedance bandwidth up to 120%, combining resonance both slot. Besides, it investigated after converting conventional tapered feed into shape feed, increased further from 120 167% ranging between 1.25 15 GHz. Moreover, one U-shaped two L-shaped stubs are inserted design introduce dual-band rejection property 1.8 2.4 GHz (GSM 1800, Wi-Fi 2.1 2.4) 3.1–4.2 (WiMAX C-band). Further, validate simulation results prototype practically constructed tested. The measured result demonstrates designed offered 170.3% 1.2 Both frequency time domain analysis ensure suitability applications.
